OUR MINISTER

The Rev David Brown is a native of Cookstown. He was brought up in the congregation of 1st Cookstown Presbyterian Church under the ministries of the Rev Morrison, Rev Casement and Rev Thompson. Having spent 23 years in secular employment,(in a variety of jobs) he felt the call of God on his life to go into full-time service in the ministry in 1995. David completed a Bachelor of Divinity Degree, through Union Theological College Belfast and Trinity Theological College Singapore, and also a Postgraduate Diploma in Ministry also through Union Theological College Belfast. After leaving college he served as an assistant to the Very Reverend Dr. John Dixon in 1st Antrim Presbyterian Church for two years. On the 15th September 2005, David was Ordained and installed as minister of Castlecaulfield and Eglish Presbyterian Churches. He is married to Hazel and has a family of three, Deborah, Stephen and Michael.
